Recently, we included information about the qualities that Generation X and Y-ers are looking for in their homes. Today, we wanted to highlight more information about these up-and-coming buyers, brought to you by KCM Blog guest writer Justin DeCesare.
According to the National Association of Realtors’ 2013 Home Buyer and Seller Generational Trends study, the average millennial home buyer (32 years or younger) purchased a home within 8 miles of their previous home. “We as a generation want an agents’ experience in negotiations, not their beliefs about what THEY think we need,” says DeCesare. The study also states that 69% of millennials worked with a single agent during the entire buying process and 59% used that same agent when they purchased again, higher than any other generation. Pretty insightful data, right?
