Cleaning tips for last minute home-showings

If your house is currently on the market, you may have a prospective buyer schedule a last minute showing leaving you scrambling to clean up in a short amount of time. If you run into that situation, don’t panic! Here are a few quick-fix chores that will take care of the highly visible areas the buyers will focus on (via Better Homes and Garden Real Estate Blog).

• Sweep front steps and clean front-door glass.
• Pick up clutter and stash out of sight.
• Take out trash and line trashcans with clean liners.
• Apply toilet-bowl cleaner in the toilets and give them a quick brushing.
• Vacuum high-traffic areas guests will see.
• Make all the beds.
• Pull back drapes and let natural light in.
• Turn on the lights in every room.
