Food Trucks Coming to Plano!

by Tracy Hookstra | April 2, 2015

Gourmet food trucks are no longer just for big city and urban environments. The trend has made its way to the Dallas suburb of Plano. According to a recent Dallas Morning News article, a 1.2-acre food truck park located at 14th Street and M Avenue has just been approved by the city. James West, the man behind the park, took lots of elements into consideration. “We studied everything about food trucks and food truck parks,” he said. “There are a lot of good food truck parks but they didn’t have a combination of elements in one place.” The dog-friendly Hub Streat Food Port, as it will be called, will include a bricks-and-mortar restaurant, three spaces for a rotating variety of food trucks, a stage for live music, an open-air patio and catering services. It’s set to open later this year!
