Mission of the Month: Minnie’s Food Pantry

It’s time for our November Mission of the Month!  This month, as we approach Thanksgiving, we are collecting items for Minnie’s Food Pantry.  Minnie’s  provides healthy meals, and every family that they serve literally walks the red carpet and they leave with dignity and integrity.  If you would like to view their website, go to www.minniesfoodpantry.org.   When I spoke with the organization, they told me that they had 1900 families signed up for Thanksgiving and were in desperate need for food.  They are also having a program called “Sponsor a Plate.”  Anyone who donates $40 (the amount necessary to feed a family for Thanksgiving,) will receive a signed plate for their own Thanksgiving table showing that they had given enough to pay for a Thanksgiving meal for a needy family!

Among their many needs, they specifically requested:

• Stuffing – boxes or bags
• Boxed mashed potatoes
• Cans of vegetables, sweet potatoes
• Jars of gravy
• Cans of fruit, fruit cocktail, etc.
• Cake mixes and cans of icing
• Any kind of boxed desserts – brownies, etc.
• Almonds, mixed nuts, etc.
• Anything else that you think of that folks typically enjoy on Thanksgiving.  (Note: It seems they have an ample amount of cranberry sauce
• A $20 (minimum) gift card from Albertsons, Kroger, Walmart, Market Street so that they can purchase turkeys

Please deliver donations by Friday, November 18, to our Keller Williams office (4783 Preston Road, Frisco 75034).  At the office, please knock on our doors at the back of the building (left or middle door).

***Please note, many people have shipped items via Amazon.com or other items to make contributing more convenient. If you choose to ship donations, we request that you ship your items to our office:
