Mission of the Month: Minnie’s Food Pantry

by Tracy Hookstra | June 4, 2018

Summer is DEFINITELY here which means schools are also out.  Unfortunately, without the benefit of school breakfasts and lunches, approximately 1 in 4 children goes hungry each day.  The Jan Richey Team would like to do our part to help these kids by collecting food items for Minnie’s Food Pantry for our June Mission of the Month.

Minnie’s Food Pantry is a 501C3 charity that provides healthy, nutritious food and the “red carpet treatment” to every person that they serve in the community.  During the summer, families with children who receive free/reduced meals through school-sponsored programs look for alternative ways to supplement those meals while school is out.  The folks at Minnie’s Food Pantry know and understand that Hunger does NOT take a vacation!

Currently, Minnie’s Food Pantry is in need of the following items, so they can distribute meals to children during the summer months:

~Jelly

~Peanut Butter

~Canned Fruit

~Canned Vegetables

~Boxed Potatoes

~Hamburger Helpers

~Mac and Cheese

*Please be sure all food items are not expired and unopened.*

Please deliver donations by Friday, June 22 to our office Keller Williams office (4783 Preston Road; Frisco, TX  75034).  At the office, please knock on our doors at the back of the building (left or middle door).
