Mission of the Month – Good Samaritan Inn

This month, The Jan Richey Team is collecting items for the Samaritan Inn of McKinney. The Samaritan Inn is a comprehensive homeless program that helps willing people who are experiencing homelessness gain dignity and independence by teaching self-sufficiency and life skills. On a typical night, approximately 160 people sleep at the Inn, 60 of which are children.

Their current, specific needs are listed below:

• Dixie cups
• Ponchos, rain gear, and umbrellas
• Pillows and pillowcases
• Laundry detergent
• Twin-size blankets
• Women’s deodorant
• Refillable water bottles
• Cold packs for lunches
• Kids short sleeve shirts
• Kids shorts
