Was home organization at the top of your New Year’s resolution list?  If it was, read on!  The experts of HGTV.com have provided wonderful tips to get your home clutter free.  The bedroom tips below are inspiration to get you started. Have another room in the house you’d like to organize?  Read all of HGTV.com’s suggestions here

1.     Opt for Storage Under the Bed.  Use sliding or rolling under bed bins to store your seasonal or bulky items, or even extra linens.  Label each bin for extra organization.

2.     Tame the Shoe Pile.  Purchase a shoe rack (as opposed to a hanging bag.)  Racks take up less space and allow for accessibility.

3.     Get Your Jewelry in Order.  Consolidate all of your favorite pieces into a hanging organizer.  Nothing gets tangled and you can see everything!

4.     Create a Reading Nook.  Next to your favorite chair, place a side table with drawers/shelves for book storage and a reading lamp.

5.     Make Your Bed Every Day.  Make your mom proud and take a few minutes each day to tidy your bed.  Hopefully, it will give you the motivation to keep the rest of the room orderly.

6.     Take Proper Care of Specialty Garments.  Use quality hangers and get all of your specialty items professionally cleaned.  Hang or store these items away from your regular wardrobe.

7.     Toy-Proof a Child’s Bedroom.  Canvas hampers or crunch baskets can make for fabulous, kid-friendly storage.  Use various sizes for different types of toys.

Good luck and have fun!
