A Spring Event with The Jan Richey Team

The shred event Plano homeowners attended this past weekend was one of our favorite community events of the season. There’s something incredibly satisfying about clearing out the old and making space for what’s next, especially right after tax season. This past Saturday, The Jan Richey Team hosted a Sip ’n Shred event where clients, friends, and neighbors could safely dispose of sensitive documents while enjoying a fun and welcoming morning together.

A great morning with our community at our Sip ’n Shred event in Plano.

A Great Turnout and a Great Reminder

From old tax files to stacks of paperwork that had been sitting around a little too long, guests were able to bring sensitive documents and get them professionally shredded on-site. It was practical, easy, and honestly a little satisfying to watch.

More importantly, it was such a great reminder of how much we value staying connected with our community beyond real estate. Events like this are one of our favorite ways to give back, create meaningful moments, and bring people together.

Shred-it Was Amazing to Work With

We rented the truck from Shred-it, and they were fantastic from start to finish. The process felt seamless, efficient, and secure. As a result, everyone could simply pull up, hand over their documents, and leave knowing everything had been properly destroyed. We would absolutely love to work with them again.

Enlightened Cafe Made the Morning Even Better

To make the event even more enjoyable, Enlightened Cafe joined us and served the yummiest coffees. Wow. She was amazing. It added such a fun and welcoming touch to the event and gave everyone a chance to sip, chat, and enjoy the morning while taking care of something useful at the same time.

That mix of practical and enjoyable is exactly what made the event feel so successful. People were able to get something important done, and at the same time, it still felt light, social, and easy.

Community and Team Highlights

The turnout was incredible, and the energy throughout the event made the whole morning feel special. It was wonderful seeing people stop by, take care of something important, enjoy great coffee, and spend time with our team.
