Jan entered the real estate industry in 1983. With a commitment to value and quality, and laser focused instincts, Jan quickly became the number one Realtor® in her office. Not only was she successful immediately, she stayed consistently successful while establishing herself in the upscale luxury home market.
In 1994 she made the move to Keller Williams Realty. Attracted by their spirited style and aggressive approach to real estate sales, she and her husband Tom Lamphere helped open the first Keller Williams franchise in Dallas. Jan holds the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) and CLHMS (Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist) designations.
She was born in Oklahoma City and graduated from Oklahoma State University. She also has a degree in Aviation Technology from Mountain View College and is a Certified Instrument Flight Instructor. Prior to getting into real estate, Jan was a corporate jet pilot and flew a Lear 25 for a Houston oil firm.
Jan specializes in the Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Prosper and Celina markets. Known for her zest for life, her “can do” attitude, Jan is committed to the ultimate in personal service and customer satisfaction. She has earned a reputation as one of the preeminent leaders in the local real estate market because of her penchant for detail and relentless dedication to stay on top of what is happening in the marketplace. An accolade of her success was being selected by D Magazine as one of Dallas’ Top 50 Real Estate Agents in 2001 and 2003-2024. Jan’s team, The Jan Richey Team, consistently ranks as top real estate producers locally and nationally with Keller Williams Realty.
Jan is a member of numerous Realtor® organizations and has served as a national representative for Keller Williams Realty ALC (Agent Leadership Council) and has shared her systems with Keller Williams agents across the country.
